Arena Of The Fates
Receive Titan rank on The Challenge Of The Titans to unlock in the Treasures section.
Kind of a practice mode where you choose the health/magic/abilities/enemies, ect.
Challenge Of The Titans Mode
Complete the game on any difficulty mode to unlock in the treasures section. Exactly like the Challenge Of The Gods mode from the first God Of War, except there are 7 challenges.
Unlock Titan difficulty mode
Simply complete the game on any other difficulty mode.
Unlockable Costumes
Must complete the game on certain difficulty levels, Collect certain Items and receive certain ranks.
Athena: Complete the game on Titan mode.
Dark Odyssey: Complete the game on God mode.
General Kratos: Collect 20 Cyclops eyes. Must kill them with a context-sensitive move. Meaning the O button.
God Armor (The best costume, Doubles all stats): Receive God ranking in Challenge mode.
God of War costume: Complete the game on any difficulty level.
Hercules: Complete the game on Titan mode.
Hydra Armor: Complete the game on any difficulty level.
Watch the Credits
Beat the game on any difficulty setting to unlock the Credits on the Treasures Menu.
Alternate package art
There is an alternate artwork on the other side of the cover sheet on the game's package. Just take it out and flip it over to see it.
Blade of Olympus
Successfully complete game under the Titan difficulty setting.
Gift of Health
When you get to the area where the second Translator jumps off the ledge to avoid reading the book, place the fate statue by the gate at the end of the hall. Go through the mirror that rewinds time, freeze time, then roll back to where the statue was originally. Open the chest that is now there to get the Gift of Health.
Gift of Magic
Get almost to the area where you have to burn the Phoenix Feathers (the part where you are climbing on the rope over the lava and enemies shoot the rope down and you must climb on the wall and then ceiling to get to the next place). As soon as you turn the corner where you have to jump over the lava and fly, take out the bow instead and shoot the wall below a few times. It will open, revealing the Gift of Magic.
Urn of Gaia
This urn is found in the Isle of Rhodes (the first level). Take the stone block that you push with the golden bird on top, which you need to first break to get some Red Orbs. Push it between Kratos and the gate. While Kratos is on the button to open the gate, kick the block to the other side and then quickly roll under the gate. Then, push the block to the right. You will see three chests on a ledge in the background. Push the block to that area and double jump, then lift yourself up. This urn allows you to gain ten times the number of orbs than normal.
Bonus Play
To Start a new game with all Weapons/Magic at the levels you completed the game at, simply save your game and start a new game. Choose the Bonus Play option and you can start a new game with all your weapons/Magic at the levels you beat the game with. You can only choose the Bonus Play option on the difficulty you've beaten the game on. They will be marked by a sword on the New Game screen.
Hidden Sex Mini Game
Right near the beginning of the game, on the first level where you fight Colossus he will hit you into the house. Do not go under the water yet. Get out and run to the right side where you will see two covers and a flimsy looking wall. One of them has some orbs in it, the other has a couple of half-naked women chilling out in the water. Enjoy the mini game, if you hit all of the buttons at the right time there will be an explosion of red orbs.
Getting Red Orbs with the Blade of Olympus
Once you have beaten the game you will receive the Blade of Olympus. Once it has been leveled up once you will be able to perform the Divine Sacrifice move (press L1 and Circle together). This move will pull the red orbs right out of the enemies.
The Golden Fleece
You will receive the Golden Fleece from the Cursed Cerberus, once obtained you can use it to block enemy attacks by pressing L1. If you continuously press L1 you will block and return almost all attacks.
Unlock All Movies
Simply completing God of War 2 will unlock all movies in the game, including high resolution movies and all cut-scene movies the game has to offer.
Secret God of War 2 Message and Site
If you're lucky enough to pull off a 999,999 hit combo you'll be given a secret message which contains a URL for a God of War 2 web site. Similar to the first game, where you were given a telephone number, you'll get a secret message upon visiting the site. In the first God of War it was simply a text message, the web site however has some gameplay footage with developer commentary on it. You can also simply access the site at islandofrhodes.org if you don't feel like struggling to get that obsene combo.
